The web just got eyes.

Meta Ray-Ban Display web apps now speak WebMCP. A website can hand Meta AI real tools, and Meta AI answers you in the lens.

Here is the street as the glasses see it.

01 · Through the lens

600 pixels. One lens. Twenty degrees.

The display lives in the right lens only. It is additive: black is transparent, so whatever it draws floats over the street you are already looking at.

No scrolling, no tabs, no cursor. A line or two of text, a focus ring, and a pinch from the Neural Band.

02 · Websites light up

Some sites can be used. Most can only be looked at.

A site that registers WebMCP tools tells the agent exactly what it can do, with a schema for every argument: reserve_table, search_catalog, add_to_cart.

Every other site is a picture of a page. The agent can read it. It can't act on it.

03 · Meta AI acts

“Table for two at 8, somewhere quiet.”

Meta AI reads the tools the page registered. It calls the read-only one on its own, and asks before anything that changes the world.

You confirm with one pinch.
